Intergenerational Program
We are proud to launch our major funding initiative for 2026-2027: $55,000 for the Intergenerational Program.
The Intergen Program is a meaningful program at all Elmbrook elementary schools that connects students with adult volunteers to build lasting relationships, strengthen literacy skills, and enrich learning through shared experiences. It provides adults of all ages opportunities to meaningfully connect with our Elmbrook students. After a very successful pilot program in 2023-24 and expansion to three schools in 2024-25, the Intergen Program has expanded to have volunteers working on literacy with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders at ALL FIVE Elmbrook elementary schools (Swanson, Dixon, Tonawanda, Brookfield Elementary, and Burleigh) since October 2025.
To sustain and expand this work, we are raising $55,000 to support program coordination and resources that ensure every participating student benefits from consistent, high-quality reading support.
